Rachel Sheinbein

Rachel Sheinbein is a lead investor in Portfolia’s Rising Tide Fund and the Portfolia Enterprise Fund. Within Rising Tide, she led the fund’s investment in Parrable and co-led its investment in Sandstone Diagnostics. In the Enterprise Fund, she led investments in Juvo, Voxeet, and 4 Degrees. Rachel and her husband are active angel investors, and she currently serves as a Venture Partner at Lemnos VC.

Rachel co-founded Makeda Capital, a public markets fund focused on investing in Fortune 500 companies led by women CEOs. Prior to Makeda, she was a Partner at CMEA Capital, where she specialized in early-stage investments in energy and materials.

Earlier in her career, Rachel spent many years at Intel, where she worked on advanced wastewater treatment initiatives and environmental metrics and treatment technologies. She also led strategic efforts focused on information technology within the supply chain, contributing to industry-shaping innovations.

Rachel is President of the board of Expanding Your Horizons (EYH), an organization dedicated to encouraging girls to pursue careers in math, science, engineering, and technology. She also serves on the board of Challenge Day.

Rachel holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
