Milena Bursztyn is a venture investor, advisor, and operator focused on transformative technologies in food, agriculture, and related tech ecosystems. She is a Partner on the Food & AgTech team at Portfolia, where she sources, evaluates, and supports early‑stage companies tackling systemic challenges across the global food system.

Before joining Portfolia, Milena was a Venture Investor at Germin8 Ventures, a purpose‑driven venture capital firm investing in technologies that advance resilient, sustainable food systems, where she supported portfolio companies and led strategic initiatives. Prior to her investing career, she held leadership roles across tech platforms, including product experimentation and platform optimization at Spotify, growth operations at ScoreBeyond (acquired by LinkedIn), and business development and strategy at SideChef, a smart kitchen app. Milena began her professional journey as an entrepreneur, launching a gourmet food retail concept that laid the foundation for her lifelong focus on innovation in food and technology.

An active mentor and ecosystem builder, Milena advises startups in multiple accelerators including LaunchX, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business New Venture Challenge, and Harvard i‑Lab, and she has served as Chair of the Investor Committee for Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs. She holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, blending operational experience with strategic investing to help founders scale high‑impact solutions.
