Dr. Jane Van Dis, MD, FACOG

Dr. Jane van Dis, MD, FACOG is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, clinician-entrepreneur, and women’s health innovator with extensive experience in clinical care, digital health, and gender equity. She serves as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester and practices as an OB hospitalist, bringing deep expertise in labor and delivery and inpatient women’s health.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. van Dis is a co-founder and leader in multiple mission-driven ventures focused on improving healthcare and equity. She is Co-Founder and CEO of Equity Quotient, a platform for measuring and advancing gender equity in medicine, and previously co-founded OB Best Practice and Equity Metric to support clinicians and health systems. She has also served as Medical Director at Maven Clinic, advised numerous femtech and women’s health startups, and is Lead Partner at Portfolia’s FemTech II Fund.

Dr. van Dis has published and spoken widely on topics including climate and women’s health, equity in medicine, and innovation in obstetrics. Her multidisciplinary work bridges clinical care, entrepreneurship, and advocacy to expand women’s access to high-quality, equitable healthcare.
