Fatimah Bello

Fatimah Bello is a technology executive, impact investor, and clean energy strategist with more than two decades of experience driving innovation across energy, sustainability, and climate technology. She is the Founder and Managing Director of SWD Futures, a firm focused on transition strategies and investment in sustainable energy solutions that accelerate the shift to a carbon‑free future.

Fatimah has held leadership roles across corporate development, product management, and innovation execution at Heliogen, SABIC, and The Dow Chemical Company, bringing deep expertise in commercialization, decarbonization pathways, and strategic growth. She also served as Lead Partner for the Green & Sustainability Fund at Portfolia, where she led investments targeting environmental resilience and climate impact.

In addition to her operational leadership, Fatimah is a Venture Partner at Climate Impact Capital and Operating Partner at 8090 Industries, where she advises on energy transition investments and supports founders building climate‑oriented technologies. She has also been Executive in Residence at the Rice Alliance Clean Energy Accelerator, mentoring early‑stage startups accelerating clean and sustainable innovation.

Fatimah holds an MBA from Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, a Master’s in Engineering Management from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from The City College of New York. Her career bridges technical depth, commercial strategy, and venture‑driven impact to support technologies that address climate challenges at scale.
