Bethann Kasman

Bethann is a lead investor at Portfolia, where she plays an active role across the Rising Tide Fund, the Consumer Fund, and the FirstStep Fund. She co-led Rising Tide investments in Poshly and OtoSense and led the Consumer Fund’s investment in Joylux. Her investment approach is informed by extensive experience in cross-border angel investing, syndication, and founder support.

Bethann is the Chief Executive Officer of Go Beyond Network, a global angel investment network, and serves as Go Beyond’s strategic alliance partner in the United States. She has been a member of the Go Beyond management team since 2009 and has spent many years investing in early-stage companies across Europe and the United States. Within the angel investing community, she serves on multiple committees and works closely with startup teams on strategic positioning, management development, and marketing execution.

Earlier in her career, Bethann split her time between Florida and Switzerland, where she ran a successful consulting practice and held academic appointments in entrepreneurship, marketing, and strategy. She served as a professor of Entrepreneurship and Marketing at Webster University’s Geneva campus and as a professor of Strategy in the Open University’s Executive MBA program, strengthening her focus on translating theory into practical, scalable business execution.

Bethann currently serves on the boards of eBella Magazine and the Collier Senior Resources Center. She is also a member of the AngelPool Advisory Board, the Investors’ Circle Consumer Products Selection Committee, and the Global Health Advisory Board, contributing governance oversight and sector expertise across nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

Bethann holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University, a Master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Doctorate in Business from Business School Lausanne. She is based in Florida.
