Beatriz Franco

Beatriz Franco is a venture investor and experienced executive with a multidisciplinary background, a passion for innovation and a conviction that new technologies in food & agriculture are of paramount importance to solve climate change. She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Argentem Creek Partners, where she oversees strategic and operational initiatives in sustainable food and climate-forward investment.

Previously, Beatriz was a Partner on the Food & AgTech Fund at Portfolia, investing in early-stage companies that drive technological advances in food systems and sustainability. Her career spans leadership roles including CEO of Advanced Potash Technologies, Director of Investments at Plum Alley Investments, and senior finance and legal positions at JPMorgan and top law firms in Silicon Valley, New York, and Brazil.

Beatriz is also an angel investor and advisor, supporting founders and startups, and serves on advisory boards focused on energy and AgTech innovation. She brings a deep commitment to inclusion, integrity, and solving global challenges through technology and entrepreneurship. She holds an MBA in Finance from IBMEC (Brazilian Capital Markets Institute), an LLM in Corporate Law from NYU School of Law, and an LLB in Civil Law from PUC-RJ in Brazil.
