Fund Experience Coordinator

Portfolia seeks a Fund Experience Coordinator who will work within a team of other coordinators, bringing on new members, creating group investing experiences, and working with entrepreneurs – mainly via internet/video but with some in-person interaction. This is not an investment analyst position, and applicants require no financial analysis experience. You will be part of creating a new generation of women entrepreneurial investors. This position manages communications with member investors and prospective members, on-boards new members, organizes monthly video meetings and in-person ‘pop-ups,’ manages a pipeline of entrepreneurial companies, and works with the Leaders of each fund to finalize investments. This role requires excellent organizational skills and excellent people skills. Note: This role is open to local candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area only.

  • Manage a monthly investing process for members, including all communications with members and Lead Investors, through Mail Chimp, Slack, Zoom

  • Proactively communicate investment opportunity and requirements to prospective member investors

  • Create internal marketing presentations and resources, and host and manage video conferences and events to promote Portfolia Funds

  • Create customer toolkits, outreach templates, training materials, and communications resources

  • Manage communications and outreach with both new and prospective members, closing and onboarding them in new funds

  • Manage a pipeline of entrepreneurial companies, and the selection process, for monthly video presentation calls

  • Coordinate and track the efforts of the Fund Lead Investors in final investment decisions

  • Maintain records and updates on investments, and manage quarterly update meetings to all members

  • Assist with the platform, upcoming events, materials/marketing materials for our monthly calls and communications, ensure delivery of items in a timely fashion

  • Create weekly and monthly reporting and represent the customer’s voice to executive team

  • Create and manage IRL events, pop-ups, educational meeting and assist with summits

  • Various additional project-management and administrative duties as needed


  • A passion for entrepreneurs, innovation and/or women’s financial empowerment

  • 1-5 years of work interacting with sophisticated customers or within an entrepreneurial setting

  • Be able to add value every day with creating thinking and entrepreneurial tenacity

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study

  • Knowledge of entrepreneurial eco-systems or start-up experience is highly regarded

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Absolute attention to detail and ability to multi-task

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a collaborative and professional environment

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

  • Superior written and oral business communications skills, with the ability to comfortably and professionally interact with colleagues at all levels

  • Proficiency with Mail Chimp, Slack, Zoom, BOX, Google Docs and MS Office Suite, especially Powerpoint, capacity to learn basic CRM functions

  • Calm under pressure and positive attitude

  • Some travel required
